I'm proud to announce that a very talented and inspiring artist with whom I've been working for the last three years has finally released her new album on iTunes.

            Haikaa, a beautiful singer-songwriter from Sao Paulo, Brazil debuts her first major world-wide release, &quot;Work of Art&quot; on iTunes this week.

            I was lucky enough to be brought in by her producer, Ross Leitner, to arrange and play most of the guitars and some bass tracks on the record. We just recently returned to the studio and added my background vocals as well... and now the album has been remixed and mastered.

            Ross and Haikaa have very generously given me credit as co-producer and I couldn't be more proud of this collaboration... I'm blessed to have my named associated with such an inspiring and positive project.

            Haikaa's beautiful voice and songs are an inspiration and I hope everyone out there checks out this record... it truly is a &quot;Work of Art!&quot;

Carl Macek, creator of Robotech, passes away

Carl Macek died Saturday, April 17th, 2010... on his way to a concert in Topanga, California. I didn't find out until the following day after receiving an e-mail from my friend, web administrator and business manager, Vivian Lanza.

I only met Carl Macek a few times while I was working on the animated televison series, Robotech. After the series ended production, I did say hello to him at a couple of anime conventions... and I spoke with him on the phone about the release of a Robotech soundtrack CD after he had moved to Texas and co-founded Streamline Pictures. I wish I had known Carl better, but appreciate the time and collaboration we shared together.

Back in the &lsquo;80s, Steve Wittmack and I were hired by Robotech music supervisor Thomas White, to write music for the show and worked directly under Thomas's supervision. But we knew this show was Carl Macek's baby, and his enthusiasm and ideas filled those offices.

We met Carl early on. If I recall correctly, he came in to briefly discuss &quot;Flower of Life,&quot; a song he wanted us to write for one of the episodes during the first year of the series. I still have the original memo Carl had sent to Thomas, describing what the song needed to reflect, lyrically. It shows Carl's self-deprecating sense of humor when he parenthetically says &quot;Nice name, huh?&quot; after alluding to the character, Musica, who would be singing the song.

More often than not, whenever we would finish a piece of music, Carl would come into Thomas's office to hear it. He was always gracious and encouraging. He liked my voice and actually suggested I read for the part of Lancer... which was too late, because the part had already gone to actor Cam Clarke. But still, I would be the singing voice of Lancer's alter ego, Yellow Dancer... and for that, I am forever grateful.

I have one specific memory of Carl that I will never forget... because it has affected my life to this very day. He came into Thomas's office one day and told us that he wanted us to write a song called &quot;Lonely Soldier Boy.&quot; He was very enthusiastic and thought it was a great idea. I remember thinking that I did not like the title... it reminded me of the chorus of &quot;Soldier Boy&quot; a 1950's hit by the Shirelles. I had no idea that the song title was one of the few English phrases (and a song) from the series, Mospeada, from which Robotech was derived, and it really was a great idea to include a song with that title. We begrudgingly went back to our home studios and wrote the song. During the recording of the demo, I realized this was going to be a great song... and the title worked! &ldquo;Lonely Soldier Boy&rdquo; became our most recognized work with Robotech. When I performed this song in Chile a few years back... I could see tears in the eyes of many of the fans. It still amazes me how Robotech and its music has had such a lasting impact on so many lives.

If there had not been a Carl Macek, there would not have been a Robotech. There would not have been a &quot;Lonely Soldier Boy,&quot; &quot;Look Up! The Sky is Falling,&quot; &quot;Underground,&quot; or any of the songs which are known by thousands of Robotech fans around the world.

So, Carl Macek died on a beautiful Saturday afternoon, on his way to a concert to celebrate Earth Day up in the canyons of Southern California&hellip; and he was struck down only a few hundred yards from me. Because it was my concert he came to see that day. He had arrived with his wife, Svea, and was on his way to meet me and Thomas White and his wife, Karen. Thomas, who I had also not seen in years, found out I was performing at the festival and wanted to surprise me... and to make it even more special, he invited Carl, who had never seen me perform live. I will forever have this hollow feeling in my soul, knowing he had come out of his way to see my performance and to reconnect with some Robotech contributors&hellip; and then this tragedy happened. I was looking forward to seeing him again. It was the 25th anniversary of Robotech, and we had so much to talk about, but we never got the chance. When I was onstage, I kept looking in the audience to see if I'd recognize his face... but he wasn't there. He was already gone, and I had no idea.

I didn't get to say hello to Carl that day, and I guess writing this remembrance is my way of saying good-bye. It's still so hard to believe that it happened as it did. In my mind, and in the hearts and minds of thousands of fans around the world, Carl Macek's legacy is Robotech. And it is only fitting that his life ended on the way to reconnecting with the people who helped shape the music of Robotech... after all these years.

Carl Macek has passed on, but he leaves a legacy that will live forever. Rest in peace, Carl.

A message from Vivian Lanza, Administrator for Michael Bradley Music

In 1992, I attended the very first Anime Expo held in San Jose, CA. I approached a table in the dealer&rsquo;s room, immediately drawn to a stack of VHS video tapes on display of &ldquo;Robotech II: The Sentinels&rdquo;. It was such an exciting feeling to see some new Robotech after it stopped airing on television in the mid-1980s. Part of keeping my love for the series alive between 1986-1992 was through reading the Jack McKinney Robotech novels, which included the continuing story of &ldquo;The Sentinels&rdquo;. I didn&rsquo;t even know that a new animated series to showcase the Sentinels had been in work, let alone released on video! But there it was, right before my eyes, and I scooped it up!

I started babbling to the dealer behind the table, asking all kinds of questions regarding Robotech&hellip; actually, more like dictating facts that I knew about Robotech and the story of The Sentinels. Facts that I figured most people couldn&rsquo;t possibly know about unless they really followed Robotech. After a few minutes of my babbling, the dealer politely asked me, &ldquo;Do you know who I am?&rdquo; So I read the name on the convention badge he was wearing: Carl Macek: Streamline Pictures. I couldn&rsquo;t have been more excited and embarrassed at the same time. Here I was, asking how familiar this man was about Robotech, and what he knew about the Sentinel&rsquo;s storyline&hellip; and it was the creator, Mr. Macek, himself. Carl was extremely kind. I think he got a real kick out of my enthusiasm to talk about Robotech, and in return, I was treated to some great story-telling by him. He autographed my copy of the &ldquo;End of the Circle&rdquo; book after I showed Carl the authors&rsquo; Foreward crediting him for his accomplishments and dubbing him as &ldquo;Robotech Master Macek&rdquo;.

He signed my book: &ldquo;With humble thanks, Carl F. Macek&rdquo;

Just recently, we were making preparations for the RT25 Celebration that&rsquo;s scheduled for September 18th, in which Carl was to be a Guest of Honor. It&rsquo;s a harrowing feeling that in this year, the 25th anniversary of Robotech, Mr. Macek is no longer with us, and that we will be commemorating the momentous twenty-five years of Robotech without him.

Without Carl Macek, there would not have been Robotech. So much of my life was influenced by Robotech, that it&rsquo;s impossible to define me as a person, without it. He has touched my life in ways that cannot be described, and he will truly be missed.

With humble thanks to you Carl F. Macek, rest in peace.

Back in the ‘80s, Steve Wittmack and I were hired by Robotech music supervisor Thomas White, to write music for the show and worked directly under Thomas's supervision. But we knew this show was Carl Macek's baby, and his enthusiasm and ideas filled those offices.

We met Carl early on. If I recall correctly, he came in to briefly discuss "Flower of Life," a song he wanted us to write for one of the episodes during the first year of the series. I still have the original memo Carl had sent to Thomas, describing what the song needed to reflect, lyrically. It shows Carl's self-deprecating sense of humor when he parenthetically says "Nice name, huh?" after alluding to the character, Musica, who would be singing the song.

He came into Thomas's office one day and told us that he wanted us to write a song called "Lonely Soldier Boy." He was very enthusiastic and thought it was a great idea. I remember thinking that I did not like the title... it reminded me of the chorus of "Soldier Boy" a 1950's hit by the Shirelles. I had no idea that the song title was one of the few English phrases (and a song) from the series, Mospeada, from which Robotech was derived, and it really was a great idea to include a song with that title. We begrudgingly went back to our home studios and wrote the song.
October 21, 2009

Hi everyone! I know it&rsquo;s been an awfully long time since I personally blogged. 2009, to say the least, has been quite a difficult year for me.&nbsp; Sami Bradley, my ex-wife and mother to our beautiful daughter, Lauren, passed away unexpectedly in March.&nbsp; It was an incredible shock to our entire family.&nbsp; My daughter was and is devastated.&nbsp; Even though we were divorced, there was never any animosity between Sami and myself.&nbsp; We remained close and always spent the holidays together as a family.&nbsp;

Sami was a Senior Director at the Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (The Grammy Awards).&nbsp; The Academy was also devastated when this happened and they rushed to help in any way they could.&nbsp; They provided a string quartet for the services and paid for all the costs of a catered reception, at the house of Lauren's best friend, Margie Slaytor.&nbsp; The president of the Academy, Neil Portnow (among others) even spoke at her services.&nbsp; She was well loved in the music industry and people from all around the US flew in to Los Angeles to pay their respects.&nbsp; It was a very sad time and still is.

<a target="_new" href="http://www.grammy.com/Recording_Academy/News/Default.aspx?newsID=3277">http://www.grammy.com/Recording_Academy/News/Default.aspx?newsID=3277
<a target="_blank" href="http://grammy.com/grammy_awards/News/Default.aspx?newsID=3277&amp;newsCategoryID=7">

The Academy has set up an educational fund for our daughter and is continuing to accept donations...if anyone is interested.&nbsp; Lauren will be continuing her graduate work next fall.&nbsp;

  Contributions made payable to the Lauren Bradley Trust may be sent to First Entertainment Credit Union, c/o Sony Plaza: 10000 W. Washington Blvd., Ste. 1400, Culver City, CA 90232

I want to thank everyone who sent messages of condolences during that difficult period of time. Though I may not have had the chance to reply back, I want to take this opportunity to say that your thoughts and prayers were very much appreciated. It meant a lot, and I thank you all so much for your support.

<a href="./3daywalk.cfm">This past weekend, my daughter, Lauren participated in the annual Susan G. Komen 3-Day Breast Cancer walk in Philadelphia. This was originally planned as a 60 mile in 3 days to raise awareness and money for the fight against breast cancer. This year, because of bad weather, the walk was postponed until Sunday and became only a twenty mile walk.&nbsp; This will be her 4th year supporting this very important, near and dear cause. I couldn't be more proud of her strength and drive to participate. She raised over $4,000.00 and is still accepting contributions.&nbsp;&nbsp; If you want to support Lauren, you can read more about her fundraiser on my site here:

<a target="_blank" href="http://michaelbradleymusic.com/3daywalk.cfm">http://michaelbradleymusic.com/3daywalk.cfm

Every little bit helps.

I do have some music-related news to chat about. Earlier this year, I finished writing and producing a new single with the lovely and talented artist, Erica Shine, whom I worked with last year on two other songs. We collaborated together on a haunting ballad called &ldquo;I Will Wait for You&rdquo; which features me playing acoustic guitar.

&nbsp;

<a target="_new" href="http://www.ericashine.com/">http://www.ericashine.com

Also, you may recall from my previous blogs, another artist whom I worked with last year named, Haikaa. There is some completed footage on YouTube from our video shoot from back in December.

Please view on YouTube (feel free to comment) -

Haikaa ~ &ldquo;Work of Art&rdquo;:

<a target="_new" href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9seIZt6IM4w">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9seIZt6IM4w

As I've talked about in a previous blog, Haikaa is produced by my good friend and musical partner Ross Leitner.&nbsp; I did most of the guitar arrangements (and even played some bass) and ended up becoming so involved in the making of her record that I did receive production credit.&nbsp; Haikaa has been very generous to me and has become a great friend...calling me several times from Sao Paulo following the tragedy of Sami's death.

Haikaa still has plans for a world tour that has been temporarily put on hold because of the state of the economy.&nbsp; But we still have hopes it will turn around and our plans will come to fruition.

Haikaa is continuing her work in promoting her album in Brazil.

And speaking of Ross Leitner, I would like to congratulate him and his wife Michelle on the birth of their daughter, Fiona!

On the home front, I am still performing live around the Los Angeles area. My band, RK Project, have developed an exciting and fun tribute show of The Police and Sting. We have recently renamed ourselves, This Will Sting. This past summer, I had an amazing time performing at the Starlight Bowl, sharing the stage with the Gin Blossoms. Most recently, we had another wonderful show at the House of Blues on the Sunset Strip in West Hollywood. Our band showcases all the favorite songs from The Police and Sting. With the talent of my beautiful lead female vocalist in the band, Rachel Scott, we are even able to perform a sweet ballad called, &ldquo;My Ain True Love&rdquo; that Sting wrote for artist, Alison Kraus, to sing on the Cold Mountain movie soundtrack. We have a lot of fun doing this show. It's good to be out performing live, and I hope you come out to see us play at our future events. This Will Sting is currently scheduled to play the following shows:

Thu, October 29, 2009
Show with &quot;this will Sting&quot;
Location: Moz Buddha Lounge
30105 Agoura Rd, Agoura Hills, CA

rescheduled Thu, December 3, 2009
Show with &quot;this will Sting&quot;&nbsp; FULL EVENING SET!
Location: Cozy's
14058 Ventura Blvd, Sherman Oaks, CA

Be sure to sign-up for This Will Sting&rsquo;s Mailing List on our Website to get all the latest show information!

In more live-performance related news, as well as Robotech related news, I have been invited back to South America to perform in Santiago, Chile at the Anime Expo Convention. It&rsquo;s exciting to plan a trip back to Chile, after having had such a warm and friendly welcome the first time I was there back in 2005 for Fan Expo. I still hear from many South American fans about my show there. This time around, I have the opportunity to play the Robotech songs with a full band! Its going to be a rocking good show. I will still include my acoustic set of some of the Robotech songs I wrote. Once I have more details confirmed, I will make another announcement. In the meantime, the event is scheduled next summer, June 11-12, 2010. To my Latin American fans&hellip; hope to see you there!

Also, I have finally put some of my MP3 singles on the Store Page of my Official Website (<a href="./store.cfm">http://michaelbradleymusic.com) for download. I have received many emails and requests over the years asking about the availability of some of the singles I had previously shared and wrote about on MySpace. Now some of these tracks are up for sale. Check out Samples from the Lab on my Store Page.

I&rsquo;m glad I finally had the opportunity to sit down and check in with everyone. Again, thanks for all your support. It's great to hear from you all in emails and comments, and also at my live shows. Hope to blog again soon!

OK...I'm out.

I do have some music-related news to chat about. Earlier this year, I finished writing and producing a new single with the lovely and talented artist, Erica Shine, whom I worked with last year on two other songs. We collaborated together on a haunting ballad called “I Will Wait for You” which features me playing acoustic guitar.
Also, you may recall from my previous blogs, another artist whom I worked with last year named, Haikaa. There is some completed footage on YouTube from our video shoot from back in December.

As I've talked about in a previous blog, Haikaa is produced by my good friend and musical partner Ross Leitner. I did most of the guitar arrangements (and even played some bass) and ended up becoming so involved in the making of her record that I did receive production credit. Haikaa has been very generous to me and has become a great friend...calling me several times from Sao Paulo following the tragedy of Sami's death.

Haikaa still has plans for a world tour that has been temporarily put on hold because of the state of the economy. But we still have hopes it will turn around and our plans will come to fruition.

With the talent of my beautiful lead female vocalist in the band, Rachel Scott, we are even able to perform a sweet ballad called, “My Ain True Love” that Sting wrote for artist, Alison Kraus, to sing on the Cold Mountain movie soundtrack. We have a lot of fun doing this show. It's good to be out performing live, and I hope you come out to see us play at our future events. This Will Sting is currently scheduled to play the following shows:

Thu, October 29, 2009

In more live-performance related news, as well as Robotech related news, I have been invited back to South America to perform in Santiago, Chile at the Anime Expo Convention. It’s exciting to plan a trip back to Chile, after having had such a warm and friendly welcome the first time I was there back in 2005 for Fan Expo. To my Latin American fans… hope to see you there!

Also, I have finally put some of my MP3 singles on the Store Page of my Official Website (http://michaelbradleymusic.com) for download. I have received many emails and requests over the years asking about the availability of some of the singles I had previously shared and wrote about on MySpace. Now some of these tracks are up for sale. Check out Samples from the Lab on my Store Page.

I’m glad I finally had the opportunity to sit down and check in with everyone. Again, thanks for all your support. It's great to hear from you all in emails and comments, and also at my live shows. Hope to blog again soon!

OK...I'm out.

Happy Holidays, 2008 reflections, New Year wishes, and thanks!

Hi everybody! I want to start off by telling you all how thankful I am for all of you who have supported me and my music throughout the year. I finally released my Robotech acoustic CD and the response from all of you has surpassed my wildest expectations. Although in limited release, the sales have been good and, most of all, the comments (especially from longtime Robotech fans) have been tremendous. Thank you so much for your encouragement! Just hearing the positive reviews made it all worthwhile.

I also noticed some Paul Revere and the Raiders fans (who remember me from those days) made some purchases and I appreciate your comments about the acoustic CD (and my previous Robotech CD)! Considering the fact that you probably were never exposed to Robotech tells me the music stands on it's own...and that is incredibly satisfying. Thank you.

Many servicemen and women, both current and veterans, have always been behind my Robotech remakes. I cannot thank you enough for the sacrifices you have made for our country, and I am honored that you appreciated my songs, such as Lonely Soldier Boy, and continue to listen to them. I am very humbled. There are a few of those acoustic CDs floating around Iraq right now and I hope you guys just keep sharing the love! I'm glad it means something to you.

Well, it's the holidays again and it's a time when I usually reflect on everything that's happened in the last year. I look forward to the new year with great anticipation. As I had mentioned in a previous blog, I may be traveling with a wonderful new artist, Haikaa, who is a Brazilian citizen of Japanese descent. Her message of love and optimism is refreshing in this cynical world we live in, and I cannot tell you how honored I am that they want to include me in their future projects. I hope you come and see us play if we come to your area. Please come up and say hi!

I also am still writing with and producing Erica Shine.

We just started working on a new song...hopefully we will be done by the end of January.

Another rising recording artist, Tanya Fenmore is being co-produced by me and my musical partner, Ross Leitner. She's very talented and creative....nice pop songs which include loops and electronica...but at the same time employing more organic elements (like me beating on the back of my guitar while her dog barks in the background). Looks strange on paper...but we pull it off! She's good!

So, lot's of things going on this year and I can't wait to hit the New Year running!
&nbsp;I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy Festivus and whatever else you might be into over the holidays! And above all, I wish you all a prosperous and Happy New Year!

I'm so thankful for all the great, talented people....songwriters, singers, producers and artists that I've gotten to know and/or work with in this past year....Haikaa, (and her husband and songwriting partner Mercuri), Ross Leitner, Erica Shine, Tanya Fenmore, Maxine Sands, Anna Troia, Reid Haessig, Robert Navarro, my band mates at RK Project, and my great friend and MBM administrator Vivian Lanza who has helped me beyond belief. Viv has really straightened out Michael Bradley Music and gotten us on the right track to continue to make great music...hopefully at a faster pace! If I have to perform on the road for an extended period of time, Viv will be holding down the fort at MBM, and I'd be lost without her. So, if you need to get in touch with me, Vivian will know how to do that! Thanks, Viv! You are an angel!

And on that note I will once again thank all the fans and friends for all the support you have shown me this year and wish everyone a wonderful holiday season and an exciting and promising New Year!

OK...I'm out.

Dec. 2, 2008 - LONELY SOLDIER BOY ll IS HERE!!!

Well, it's finally done! Lonely Soldier Boy ll, an acoustic album is available for sale<a href="./store.cfm"> [Click HERE to order from the Store]. This album is definitely a labor of love...for the true fan of Robotech music. I've talked about this CD for so long now, that I'm not going to say too much about it.

Ross Leitner did a great job of engineering and co-producing this work with me. I appreciate his patience with this project. I had no idea it would be so difficult to make a record with so little instrumentation. It was actually much more difficult than my first, fully produced and arranged Robotech remake CD. There's an old saying that &quot;less is more,&quot; but it seemed like every recording session became an exercise in futility...because some of these songs needed MORE than less (uh...I hope I'm making sense).

Anyway, there are a couple of tunes that have more complex arrangements than others, but it's all acoustic, so we met our goal. I added two songs from Robotech The Movie (Saved By Science and The Future Is Now) that I had written and produced (with Steve Wittmack) but did not sing in the original versions. They were originally sung by Joanne Harris. Those two, plus Flower of Life and Underground (which was originally a male/female duet) definitely made me feel more like Yellow than Lancer! :0) The high note in the middle of &quot;Flower&quot; was a bit of a test, as was the bridge in Underground. Probably the last time I'll sing songs originally meant to be sung by a girl! Although I WAS thinking about doing a remake of &quot;Feel Like a Woman&quot; by Shania Twain...but maybe I'll save that for my next project. :0)

Thanks to the fans and friends out there who pre-ordered the CD! Those that pre-ordered before the printing deadline (Nov 15), your names are actually printed in the CD insert. We were going to go in alphabetical order, but decided to put them in the order that we received the pre-orders. I appreciate the support! We got some orders from some members of the military stationed in Iraq...and I just want to give a special thanks to them and send my best wishes for a safe return home...soon!

I want to give my heartfelt thanks to my new website administrator and long-time friend, Vivian Lanza for all the work she has done. Just incredible. If it hadn't been for her, this latest CD still might not be done. I cannot thank her enough. Her help has been immeasurable and I will be indebted to her forever. Thank you so much, Viv!

As for other projects, I have been swamped with work for other artists, as a player and/or producer. The bulk of my time the past few weeks has been preparing for a live show for a wonderful singer/songwriter from Brazil.

&nbsp;
As I've mentioned in a previous blog, Haikaa was produced by my collaborator, Ross Leitner, and I was hired to play all the guitars and do some arrangements. I ended up becoming deeply involved in the record and am now her musical director, although Ross is more or less running the rehearsals, since it was his baby to begin with, when we go on the road, I'll be taking over the reins. We auditioned a lot of great players for the group, and ended up with some real pros.

We're in rehearsals every night (and some days) and will be shooting a promotional video of the live performance in a little over a week...and there's a ton of work yet to be done. Besides playing guitar, I will be singing with Haikaa also. She is a real joy to work with and I am thankful to be included in her plans.

She will be returning to Brazil at the end of the month to start plans for a tour...hopefully we'll be out on the road early next year. We may just start with a few dates in the LA area...but everything is still up in the air, so we'll see!

l'll also be writing and recording with another previously mentioned singer, Erica Shine, this month. We had done two songs earlier in the year and they turned out great, so we'll do one more before the end of the year. Erica plans on presenting these songs at the Midem music tradeshow in Cannes, France sometime in January.

I'm glad I had a little time to check in with everyone. I hope you guys enjoy the Robotech acoustic album.

Thanks again to Ross, Viv and all you guys out there who already ordered the CD! They were shipped yesterday...I'd love to hear what you think about it.

OK...I'm out.

Hi everybody!&nbsp; It's been awhile since I've updated anyone as to what I've been doing, so I thought I would check in.

The big news for ROBOTECH fans is that the long delayed acoustic album of ROBOTECH songs finally has a release date!&nbsp; December 1, 2008.

&nbsp;

&nbsp;

This CD (as I have mentioned ad nauseam over the last year or so) consists of recordings of the original songs from the ROBOTECH television series and from ROBOTECH: The Movie.&nbsp; These are acoustic versions of the songs that I recorded for the Lonely Soldier Boy CD <a href="./store.cfm">(<a href="./store.cfm">still available at the Store<a href="./store.cfm">).&nbsp; There will also be a couple of extra tracks that were not included on the first Lonely Soldier Boy remake CD.

I tried to keep this record as minimalist as possible (tried using only one guitar and one vocal...no backgrounds), however a couple of the tracks have more than one instrument...but it's all acoustic.&nbsp; A lot of people all over the world have been asking me about doing acoustic versions of the original ROBOTECH songs that I performed, and/or wrote and produced for the show...and it will finally be available for shipping on December 1.

It seemed at times this acoustic album would never get done, but it was the inspiration given by many fans who helped me see this project all the way through. As a special thanks to my fans waiting for this album, I'd love to actually include your names in the Lonely Soldier Boy II CD cover artwork. So, for those that Pre-Order this CD before November 15th (when the album goes to print), your name will be included on the cover artwork. You can Pre-Order Lonely Soldier Boy II - An Acoustic Album starting today at www.michaelbradleymusic.com. If you sign up to be a site member to receive our newsletters, there's a special promo going on now through Saturday.

I'm deeply indebted to my great friend and ROBOTECH fan, Vivian Lanza (valkyrie22) for redesigning my web site.&nbsp; She did a fantastic job and I cannot thank her enough for her talent and hard work!&nbsp;&nbsp; She did an incredible job and I am appreciative beyond words...so I won't say anymore, except THANK YOU VIV!&nbsp;&nbsp; :0)&nbsp;

Viv will remain the administrator for Michael Bradley Music and has many new ideas for upcoming projects.&nbsp; There will be periodic updates as to what's going on.&nbsp; There's also a page dedicated to the ROBOTECH character, Yellow Dancer.&nbsp; The web site is still growing, so keep checking it out!

I also want to say thanks again to Tommy Yune who designed my original website.&nbsp; Thanks so much, Tommy!&nbsp; And to Craig Cordts who has been my administrator for the last year or so. Your help was invaluable.

Be sure to sign up for the mailing list and we'll keep you posted on upcoming events and/or promotions.

As I mentioned in a previous blog, I'm really proud of the work I've done with two new artists, Erica Shine and Haikaa.&nbsp; Erica's record is still in production and Haikaa is arriving in L.A. (from Brazil) in November to wrap up some business and make preparations for a live show.&nbsp;

I plan on being heavily involved in Haikaa's live performances, so I may be coming to a town near you sometime in the next year.&nbsp; These things take time to arrange, but as soon as there is a tour schedule, I'll announce it here on my blog.&nbsp; I hope some of you reading this will come and see us play.&nbsp;

While Erica comes from the dance music world and has switched to a more hard-edged rock sound, Haikaa is more on the mellow side. She has a very charming, &quot;airy&quot; voice, some people might say is comparable to Lisa Loeb.&nbsp; Haikaa is a true talent and a thoughtful artist.&nbsp; There's some electric stuff, but it mostly has an acoustic vibe. As I mentioned before, I did virtually all the guitar work and arrangements and some bass and keys. It'll be a challenge putting a group of musicians together to pull this off live...but I know the band's going to be great.&nbsp;

My music partner/engineer Ross Leitner (who actually produced Haikaa's record) and I will be putting her band together here in Los Angeles.&nbsp; As it stands now, I will be the musical director and one of the guitarists...maybe play some keys here and there.&nbsp; We'll be starting rehearsals soon and hopefully will be able to go on the road early next year.&nbsp; Ross will not be going on the road with us...which is fortunate, because we really get on each other's nerves after a while!&nbsp; :0)

I still have my band, RK Project...however, due to outside projects, we really haven't played much lately.&nbsp; Just some private functions.&nbsp; Whenever we play in public, I'll be sure to announce it on my blog.

Speaking of RK Project...we have a great new female vocalist, Rachel Scott.&nbsp; Rachel is beautiful, talented and a fantastic singer with a fun personality...I really look forward to working with her.&nbsp; I hope some of you in the L.A. area get a chance to see us soon!

On a more somber note, I've got a couple of friends who are now in Iraq.&nbsp; I hear from them periodically and I want them to know that I'm keeping them in my thoughts and sending my hopes for a safe return!&nbsp; We are all indebted to the men and women of the armed services who are making great sacrifices for all of us.&nbsp; Thank you!&nbsp; I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say that we cannot thank you enough for all you do.&nbsp; Come back home soon!

Anyway, I hope you all enjoy the acoustic CD and keep in touch!
OK...I'm out.

Summer 2008

I've been very lucky to have been working with two rising artists who have been taking up the majority of my time.
&nbsp;

&nbsp;
I produced and arranged (and played all of the instruments) on two songs, &quot;Oxygen&quot; and &quot;Fever,&quot; for an outstanding singer, Erica Shine. Erica got a Grammy nomination for her single &quot;Intoxicating&quot; on her first album by the same name with her twin sister in their electronica pop duo, Fantasy Twins, before going out on her own. Born in Seoul, South Korea, Erica lived in Japan before moving to the United States. She's fluent in English, Korean and Japanese and plans on doing versions of the newest material in English and Japanese.

As well as producer, I'm honored to be a co-writer on &quot;Oxygen,&quot; which will be released as a single in the near future. You can hear it on <a href="http://www.myspace.com/officialericashine" target="_new">her MySpace site (she's in my top friends). Actually, I think it's available as a free download (temporarily). There will be a remix soon, so the final product will probably sound much different than it does now...so be sure to check it out!

Ross Leitner, my recording partner/engineer, who worked with me on my Robotech remake CD (still available at the <a href="./store.cfm">STORE), is producing another wonderful artist, Haikaa. I've been deeply involved in her project...playing all the guitars and doing arrangements for a lot of the material for her upcoming album. Haikaa was born in Japan and currently lives in Brazil, where she grew up. Like Erica, she is multi-lingual...fluent in English, Japanese and Portuguese.

I'm having a great time working with these two beautiful and talented singers and musicians. I hope all of you will check out their music. I will let you know when their CDs are available for purchase. I'm very proud of the work I've done...and am thankful Ross has included me in Hakaii's project as I did with him on my project with Erica Shine.
